Policy & Terms
Preparation:
Appliances: All appliances must be emptied including refrigerators and freezers prior to removal. Also, all water and gas lines must be disconnected prior to our arrival as our team members are not allowed to disconnect these items for both your safety and ours.
Specialty items: Removing and hauling away unique items can result in specialty fees or the need for additional manpower.
Cleanliness: Team members have the right to refuse to remove unsanitary items or work in unsanitary/unsafe conditions.
Parking: Ample parking must be available for the truck & or trailer. Parking areas and walkways should be clear of snow and ice, as well as other obstructions. Should the customer be concerned about the weight of the truck or container causing damage to their private driveway or lawn, please advise us in advance as Litter Liquidators Hauling & Recycling is unable to accept liability after the fact.
Safety: Licensing and liabilities prevent our team members from removing flammable liquids, firearms, explosives, any container filled with gasoline or propane, medical waste, or other hazardous items.
Junk/Haul Away day:
Arrival time: Time of arrival is approximate give the crews a 15 minute grace period. Keep in mind we travel all over the state for junk removal projects and traffic along with travel time has an effect on arrival time. We will contact you if the arrival time changes significantly from what was originally estimated.
Children and pets: Keep children and pets occupied during the removal of your items. We reserve the right not to start or continue a job if either become a nuisance or potential danger to the crew or themselves. We want to make sure everyone (and every animal) stays safe during this time.
Weather: Junk Removal is subject to weather delay and rescheduling during poor weather so follow up if the weather is expected to take a negative turn before our teams arrival.
Liability: We reserve the right to decline additional services requested should those services pose risk of liability.
Inspection: Make sure items have been removed from requested areas and have been loaded on the truck. If something is missed and wasn't checked before we left it is not a fault of our own.
Customer representation: We ask that you be present during the entire move. Should you have to leave the premises for any reason, we ask that an adult representative be available. If the removal is outside of the residence (backyard, estate) we can work without an adult representative being there as long as the owner signs off on it.
Payment:
Payment method*: Payment is due immediately upon receipt of invoice. If the invoice is not paid prior to arrival there is not guarantee that your original scheduled spot will be retained. If it is a smaller project (1,2 items) the payment for this can be made immediately at the completion of the Junk Removal this will vary on a customer-to-customer basis. Accepted forms of payment varies on servicing location. WE CURRENTLY DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS.
Estimate: The estimate is based on information you provided. Estimates are given to inform you of approximate costs and allow us to schedule team members appropriately. If the information given was not correct expect the quote to be adjusted upon arrival.
Tips: Are not mandatory but are appreciated as our men & women work hard to please our great clients. You can tip in cash or ask themn to have a tip added to the bill and they will get tipped out at end of day.
Cancellations*: We request an advance cancellation notice for Junk Removal service. If you cancel (5 days or more) prior to removal no penalty will be incurred besides processing. If you cancel (2-2.5 days) prior to removal a 50% penalty will be incurred. If you cancel (1.5 days) prior or less a 75% penalty will be incurred. If our team members arrive and if for any reason you cannot remove your items at the scheduled time, no refund will be given. Cancellation policies vary on servicing location.
Damages*: Items requested for removal are not covered for damages. If there is damage to the premises, notify the team members immediately. They will take photos and come back and complete a damage to property form. If you discover a damage after the Junk Removal, call the office immediately. Time period allotted for discovered damage vary on servicing location. No damage claims will be honored until the charges for your Junk Removal services have been paid in full.
